Hello!
Ok, no turkey leftovers yet; still working on the ham.
Ok, so I'm thinking here that I need to buy a ham more often. The ham we bought for Christmas dinner cost us about $15. We had 8 people over for Christmas dinner. I sent leftovers (enough for 2 nights) with my parents and my uncle. AND I have ham left.
So what did I do. Yep, I did the crescent roll thingiemabobber (very technical recipe term...LOL). So here is the recipe:
1 can crescent rolls
1 1/2 cup chopped up ham leftovers
shredded cheddar cheese
I preheated the oven per the crescent roll directions. I rolled out the crescent rolls into their little triangles. I put the chopped ham over the entire roll and then topped it with cheese. I then rolled the crescents up and put them on a baking sheet and popped them in the oven.
I baked them for 20 mins, then pulled them out and flattened them a little with my hand and topped them with cheddar cheese and put them back into the oven to let the cheese melt.
I ate them just like this and they were delicious. My husband had hot sweet mustard with his and thought it was a great topper to a great meal.
I also chopped about another 2 cups and through that and the leftover bone in a pot of beans. We haven't eaten these yet but we will tomorrow and I'll blog the recipe once I know they are deliciouso as well.
So for very little money we have had a lot of 'meals' from this one ham......like I said I may have to buy a ham more often than just Christmas. Oh and by the way...........YES, I still have ham left..........maybe tomorrow I will have ham and cheese omletes for breakfast!
I'm anxious to see how far the turkey will go...............
see you tomorrow!
